Freshers' Fayre

Cheerleaders @ Freshers' Fayre

Today was Freshers' Fayre. It's a part of Fresher's week to introduce new students to societies, clubs, sport, etc. The various societies and clubs available within the University have stalls and aim to tempt freshers to join. It was very overwhelming. The kind of sports you could chose were: American Football, Athletics, Basketball, Boxing, Cheerleading (no kidding! just look at the pic), Cricket, Dance, Equestrian (organized sports involving horse riding), Fencing, Football, Golf, Gymnastics & Trampolining, Hockey, Karate, Lacrosse, Mountain Bike, Netball, Octopush (underwater hockey!), Racquet Sports (tennis, table tennis, squash and badminton), Rugby, Sailing, Scuba Diving, Ski & Snow, Surf, Skydiving, Taekwondo, Ten Pin Bowling, Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, Wakeboarding and Windsurfing. A lot!

The (sometimes sport based) societies: Anime, Bell Ringing, Belly Dancing, Break Dancing, Chess, Classical Ballet, Computer Games, Creative writing, Drum And Bass, Fairweather Footballers, Hip Hop, Hug, Juggling Links - First Aid, Motorcycling, Music And Drama, New Music, Neosol poetry, Poker, Pool, Power Kites Renegade, Road Trip, Rock, School of Rock, Science Fiction, SSAGO, Unsigned act, UPRAW, Wall Art....
