| Bandeoke with One Night Stand |
Another interesting Sunday night. I went with some Erasmus friends to Walkabout (the Australian bar at Guildhal Walk) to check out Bandeoke. Bandeoke is basically the same as karaoke but with a live band supporting you. Much cooler actually. They have a 3 page-list of songs you can choose between, which the band - called 'One Night Stand' (http://www.myspace.com/onenightstanduk) - plays and you have to be the singer of the band.
At first we weren't very keen on signing up for singing on stage. But then the organiser of this Erasmus social, Morris Carr, gave a good example and signed up for two songs. I was still doubting of signing up. There were a lot of great songs you could choose, but in the past i always hated to stand in front of a crowd. I got really nervous then and was afraid it would happen again today. But i changed a lot in the last couple of years and bandeoke really seemed fun, so me and Erica signed up eventually to sing 'Torn' from Nathalie Imbruglia. Too bad we waited so long to sign up, cause at the end they didn't finish the whole list. Really disappointing, cause i was finally ready for it :) But we already agreed that next time we go we will sign up immediately. Bandeoke is every Sunday so there will definitely be another change.
