Erasmus Bowling Night

Bowling heads

Because we wanted to do something else than party for a change (although you just can't get bored of that), we came up with the idea to go bowling together. Because there are a lot of people who like bowling, i made a facebook group page called 'Erasmus Bowling' to see who was interested. Soon we had enough people and made the event 'Bowling Night 1'. We chose to do it on a Monday, which i recommend to everyone who wants to go bowling at Bowlplex (located at Gunwharf Quays) because then you only have to pay £6 which allows you to play as much as you want from 6pm till it closing time.

I had a lecture till 5 so i went to Bowlplex immediately after that. That left me no time to eat before the bowling. Luckily they have a bar & grill. You find their menu also on their website: www.bowlplex.co.uk/. They even sell slush drinks like in the Simpsons :) After our stomachs were stuffed we were ready to play! Only had to figure out which shoe size we had to ask while they are slide different in England. Then it was time to get serious.. although that didn't last long while we had too much fun trying different throw methods like blind folding Burni and let him roll the ball, or rolling backwards and stuff like that. We even used the ball to express Vincent "famous" move, as you can see on the funny picture made by Julian :)

When we finally got tired of playing we went to the arcade room to play some games like air hockey and dance dance revolution (like in South Park). There was also a pool hall but we didn't try that out cause i wanted to catch the last uni bus. I missed that bus unfortunately, but Marc (another German colleague) had his car in Portsmouth and was so kind to bring me, Burni and Julian home. Thanks again Marc!
